Abstract

Christian Bernard Shea was a member of the Princeton Class of 1916 and an avid supporter of Princeton athletics. The collection consists of Princeton University athletics statistics and newspaper clippings compiled by C. Bernard Shea between approximately 1901 and 1960.

This collection consists of Princeton University athletics statistics and newspaper clippings compiled by C. Bernard Shea between 1901 and 1960. A number of sports are represented; however, the bulk of the materials relate to football. Also included is a copy of Intercollegiate Football, A Complete Pictorial and Statistical Review 1869-1934 edited by Christy Walsh.

Shea, Christian Bernard

Christian Bernard Shea was a member of the Princeton Class of 1916. While a student he was an active member of the crew team, and after graduation he remained an enthusiastic supporter of Princeton athletics, as well as a member of the Graduate Council. Shea died in 1961, and in 1998 a new rowing center was constructed in his name.
