    Summary note
Hotei, one of Japan's famous seven gods of good fortune, and several children collect treasures in the mountains for the New Year. One child gestures at a money tree covered with gold coins and takes Hotei by the hand as he crawls across a narrow stone bridge. A child at the left carries a yoke loaded with precious items, including coral, while his companion watches from the other side of the gorge, holding a walking stick with a fan tied to it.
